About the Role

Are you an experienced leader in the energy industry, passionate about driving innovation and sustainability? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Operations & Maintenance Manager.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hydrogen production facilities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the hydrogen plant’s operations, including production, maintenance, and safety protocols
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards
  • Lead a team of skilled technicians and operators, providing training, mentorship, and performance management
  • Review process engineering documents and contribute to safety studies
  • Analyse plant data and generate comprehensive reports to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a plant remote monitoring solution 

Education & Training

  • Degree in relevant technical field (e.g., process engineering, mechanical engineering, energy systems engineering)

Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the hydrogen, energy, chemical, or plant engineering industries
  • Knowledge of the Hydrogen Industry
  • Knowledge of compressed gases, pressure systems & Pressure Equipment Directives
  • Knowledge of ATEX Directives & the Explosive atmospheres
  • Technical competence in process technology, hydrogen production, and process safety

Skills and Abilities

  • Candidate should have strong organisational skills, be self-motivated and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • An attention to detail and a methodical approach to work is essential for this role.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • The successful candidate must be willing to occasionally travel within the UK and overseas.
